White baby furniture
Just wondering everyones opinion on this- what do you think of white baby furniture for a boy? Is it too girly? or does it really just the bedding that would make it girly? TIA

Re: White baby furniture
Mostly the bedding would make it girly yes, but they do have masculine white furniture that would definitley work for a boy. Someone just posted their girls nursery with white furniture and it was beautiful and frilly with carvings and curves so very girly. But you can get straight lines, sleigh bed style, chunky wood and it would do great in a boy's room. Absolutely!

Re: White baby furniture
I got white and we don't know what we are having. I have a lot of dark furniture (espresso) in my house and wanted the baby's room to look clean and bright. I think that white is fine for boy or girl baby's.

That is me exactly!! Our house has a lot of dark wood furniture- I would like white for the babys room. I still don't know what we're having (thinking girl), but i guess i wanted something that i can use for this baby and for the next, KWIM?

Re: White baby furniture
I desperately want white furniture but DH says it is too girly. If it was up to me...I'd say it is not gender specific at all but DH thinks it's for girls.

Yeah, I think it's totally fine for either gender. I have gender neutral bedding too but I think if you found out if it was a boy or girl you could definitely dress it up accodingly w/ bedding/decor.

It's a matter of taste - There are no rules. I personally do not like white furniture for a boy - but many many people DO.

Re: White baby furniture
I like it for babies boys and girls. But for some odd reason I feel like when the baby gets older(todler) it is too "girly" for a boy.

Re: White baby furniture
I just love white furniture, especially for a child's room. I don't see how it's girly...

Re: White baby furniture
I have seen a lot of great rooms for boys with white furniture. I believe Julz33 has white furniture for her son's room and it looks amazing.

Re: White baby furniture
I have seen certain furniture in white that was girly because of the cut of the wood (like someone else said), but i've also seen it in boys rooms and didnt think it was girly at all. But, for some reason, i would be more inclined to get it if i were having a girl than if i were having a boy.

I have white furniture in room. It is very classic and clean looking. We paired it with green bedding. I love it for either a boy or girl!

I agree. I only want white furniture, and we're having a . I love the clean look. Pottery Barn has some adorable boy nursery pics with white cribs. I love the look of blue crib sets with white furniture.

Re: White baby furniture
I think it's neutral when they are babies (as long as it isn't too ornate). The only thing is if you get a convertible crib that grows with the baby. I wouldn't think a 10 year old boy would like the white furniture.

Re: White baby furniture
We bought white furniture for DD and just moved the crib and changer (both white) to DS's room.
Now my problem is I don't want to buy DS white furniture so I am waiting until he is out of the crib to buy a wood colored big boy set. Therefore he has no furniture now.
I think white is fine for a boy/girl nursery but I am not too sure about white for a "big" boy.

We got white furniture and don't know the baby's sex. It is so cute and baby looking. I wouldn't have done anything else!

DS has a white crib and changing table. It is very plain and has lots of straight lines. We paired it with blue and white bedding.

Re: White baby furniture
I ordered White furiniture for my son as well and I m very happy with our choice. Its all about how you decorate and mix colors with it. We have blue and green bedding so it def. look boyish when its all put together. White is just so fresh and bright, its perfect for a baby
