White Lights or Multi-Colored for Outside?

What color lights do you have on the outside of your house and why?

I have my Christmas tree in the middle of the window and this has multi-colored lights. Should I go with multi-colored for the outside too?

I do multicolored because the tree is. The kids love them.

Multi - I claim it's for the kids, but really I do it for the big kid in me.

We even strung C-9s along the roofline on the back of the house "for the kids". Hehehe.

White just seems to go with the style of the house.

I like the clean look of the white lights. Although, I do have multi-colored garland lights on the deck railing. I bought them last year during the after Christmas sales, and thought they were white.... I still put them up this year, though

white, my tree is white. I personally dont like color lights.

We used the multi ceramic C-9's and white everywhere else. I always have been a just white kind of person, but I really love the C-9's.

I voted other because I'm pretty sure we do both. I can't even remember what the outside lights look like, what does that say about me?

I do mostly white and blue, but this year DH tossed in some multi-colored ones without me knowing. I have to say, it look nice because it's not too much. (Bad pic taken with cell, but you can get the idea) We have a big tree on the other side that he put some multi colored ones as well

I like both but DH has done colored lights and still isn't done.

For me, multi-colored just says Christmas. I think white is pretty, but not as festive.

If you can see your tree, and it has colored lights, I'd go with white, for contrast.

Multi! I love the multi lights. Both DH and I are big cheeses.

i prefer white...seems more grown up to me if that makes any sense...as a kid i always liked colored but now i like white b/c i like a clean crisp look...as a kid i was more into the colors than anything else..

most of all i like when the lights are really neat and straight - i think that is more important than the color or style of the lights...for me it's all about the presentation

we don't have any lights this year which is ironic b/c my husband had a business in NY doing holiday lights - he just hasn't had time yet between the new house and work...

I love the big old-fashioned multi-colored lights. Brings back all the memories of childhood.

We have white lights outside and colored lights on our tree inside.

I like the look of both but tend to gravitate towards the multi-colored lights for some reason!

White. I live in a Victorian so white is what "goes" well.
