Re: White Noise Machines?
We use the sound sleeper by DEX. BRU sells it. We've used it for my DD since she was a newborn. It has a lot of different sounds and options. It can be set to shut off automatically or stay on all night. She loves the ocean sound. It's Great!!

Re: White Noise Machines?
We bought a Memorex CD clock radio with sounds on it. We use the rain one every night. She is so addicted we even have to travel with it and this thing is HEAVY! But very worth it.

Re: White Noise Machines?
We use a clock radio tuned in between stations. Its cheap and we don't have to take it anywhere with us. We have used it since Noah was a wee baby.

We have the same one for DD, she too loves the ocean & we combine it w/ the buoy sound.

Re: White Noise Machines?
With Sarah we used a clock radio tuned to the static between stations. That horrified my dad, so he got Andy a clock radio from the Sharper Image that also plays a variety of sounds to help sleep, including white noise.

Re: White Noise Machines?
I've been using a white noise machine for myself for the past few years. I cannot sleep without it. I am such a horrible sleeper that it can't be a sound maching with soft noises because that keeps me up. We've been using it in our room (where DD sleeps) and she is fine with it. I keep it near my side of the bed which is a bit of a distance from her head.

Re: White Noise Machines?
In DD room I use one that my sister gave me from Sharper Image and I have it set to "ebb and flow" so she listens to ocean waves crashing...not "white noise".
When we travel, I take one with me that has the "white noise" on it and she listens to that.
