My dh went today for a birthday party, and loved the place. He is thinking instead of doing at our home, to have our ds first birthday there. Is 1 to young? Will they enjoy it? Thing is, ill be 6 months preggo, and its mid July...might be easier on me to have it somewhere else..kwim.

Re: white post farm for first birthday??
My one year old enjoyed it last year while attending the party. Got to ride the horse and all. But there isn't much that scares my kids aside from bugs and crocodiles. Being 6 mos pregnant though at the middle of July might be hard on you though. I know if it were a really hot day I would rather be in a/c for a party!

I think he would enjoy the party more at 2 or 3. For the 1st birthday I would do more of a Gymboree type party.

I don't really have too much to say on this topic (except that, 6mo preggo in the heat would not be fun!). BUT, I just wanted to congratulate you on being expecting another LO! I haven't been on in a while, so I didn't know until now

Re: white post farm for first birthday??
Thanks guys...yea, we priced it out. We thought it would be cheaper than having it in our backyard only cause we tend to go overboard....well, in the end it would be the same price with way less ppl! I rather have it at my house cause I can invite everyone, but my husband wants to have it somewhere. What does gymboree offer? Anyone know?

Re: white post farm for first birthday??
Gymboree is cute, but hard if the birthday child is not walking. DD didn't walk until 14 mos, so a 1st party at gymboree would have been a waste for her.

I agree. They don't get most of it just yet at that age. I agree Gymboree is probably a better venue at that age.
