White Post Farms B-day Party - looking for advice...
So ever since the first time I went there, I had it in my mind that I wanted to have one of DD's parties there and thought 3 would be a good age.
Of course, DD's b-day falls during their Fall Festival and the parties are $250 more than the regular price. The party is exactly the same - it just includes admission to the fall festival for all attendees after the party.
Do you think it's worth it? Since I am planning it so far in advance the money isn't really an issue since I have plenty of time to save.
As a guest would you even care that the party included the fall festival?
If you do think it's a good idea - I need some selling points to share with DH!
Thanks!!

I know you're DD loves White Post Farms (from previous posts). As a guest, I personally wouldn't care if its fall festival time or not. Regardless, its a party, you know.

It's already $$$ without the festival. I have been looking into it since last year. I would not spend the extra $250 just to have those dates. UNLESS, you do want it to be during the festival. Which also mean it will be super crowded.
I would do right before or right after.

I would try to do it before or after the fall festival.

Never went during the Fall Festival but I had my sons' 3 year old birthday there and they loved it.
I would not be okay with spending the extra 250 though since I thought the regular price was high. I stayed later after the party but most people left right after so it was not a big selling point that people can stay later.

I don't think it would be worth the extra $250- if the only extra would be admission into the Fall Festival after the party. There's not guarantee that any of your guests would stay after and go to the Fall Festival, so IMO, it would be wasted money.
That totally stinks that its that much extra.

I was just researching this the other day! We'd have dueling parties I think I've sidelined the idea for now because when I added the cost of additional kids, it just got to be too expensive and we're going to have a Christening to pay for around the same time. It looks like the cutest place in the world to have a party though esepcially in October

I went to a party there in Novmeber early on a Sunday morning - we were the only people there. Absolutely nothing else was going on at the time. We got to do PLENTY - horse rides, train ride, fed all the animals, pizza and cake. I didn't feel like we were missing out on anything.
I've also never been to WPF during the fall festival so I don't know what I'm missing.

Thanks! I tend to go overboard so of course I am willing to hand over the extra money but it really makes no sense.
I will definitely look into early November and DD will have to wait for a party. Unless Nate wants to do a joint party, Ali

Only if we can find them matching farm boy/farm girl outfits for it They'd be so adorable

I think it would be cool to stay after for the fall festival since we usually take DS. My friend couldn't get a date during the fall festival so she did the late friday afternoon party. I thought it was great because White Post was empty and the kids had dinner.

I went to a fall festival birthday party last year. She had it at the last time of the day I think 4:30 so it really was not crowded by that time on a Saturday. We were the only ones left...
If money is not an issue-- I would look into that time..

They sell an adorable little cow girl outfit at White Post. I was soooo tempted to buy it for DD for her party, but DH talked me out of it

I was at the same party but remember and that time by the time the party is over White post is closed so we could not take advantage of the Fall Festival
