Light grout is going to look dirtier faster.

Dark grout is going to look...dark.

Something in between perhaps....

What say you?

In my last house I did a medium gray grout, in this house I did white.

I think I like the way the white looks better, my old one looked more "vintage" but this one looks cleaner. Only in this house about six months but the white still looks nice and clean.

i know what you mean. i like the vintage look. my faucets are the white cross handles in ceramic & brushed nickel, white beadboard half up the walls, but a slightly modernish accent glass tile border.

and i like the clean, fresh look of the bright white, by which will also definitely compliment the glass in there, but the slightly darker grout *i think* will bring out the white marble & slate accents?

we just did our bathroom in subway tile and a mosaic class strip as an accent.

I was set on going wiht silver grout. Went out and found the exact shade I wanted. The tile guy who was BILof a coworker told me its gonna look like crap if I use it especially with the glass, was very negitive about it... I finally caved and got white grout.

I think with white it looks fantastic and there is a possibility that with teh silver it would loook less than fantastic, especially with the glass tile.

I second guess myself on things all the time, but after seeing the bath with the white, I actually haven't second guessed myself on that decision.

awesome! glad you posted, cuz i can totally picture what you're saying, and it's pretty much what we have going on...and it is the shiny-ness that has me leaning towards the light grout.

thanks!

We recently did white subway tiles in our shower and used white grout. I love the way it looks. This is a picture of our shower before it was actually done.
