Mostly whoever gets home first which is usually DH. Weekends when we're home I do a lot of the cooking and sometimes I'll do it even if he's home first - just b/c I feel bad that he does so much.

I chose "we switch off", because he DOES cook, but it's not split evenly. He takes care of it maybe once or twice a week, and I cook the rest of the time.

Cook?? What's that The problem we have is that we both work long hours so we are lucky if we cook 2 times a week. However, when dinner is cooked, I cook about 90% of the time.

Usually whoever gets home first. If it's any kind of meat other than chicken, DH cooks. Anything Italian, I cook.

Who gets home first, is what Dh always says, but on his days off he never cooks. Not sure how that rule works out

this is EXACTLY how we do it too! we both get home early, so he chops up any veggies we need and measures any seasonings while i take care of any meat. its nice to be able to cook together because one of us doesn't feel like we're doing all the work, and its a fun way to catch up and vent about our day at work...
Yeah, it's nice. Today we had a lazy dinner, so he made the tuna salad and I heated up the soup!

I do the cooking he gets home too late. He has work and school, I'd be starving if I had to wait for him. On the weekend I don't really cook though...we go out to eat.

I cook. 99.9% of the time. Rob has a cooking-phobia. If I am working late and he has to feed the boys they are almost certainly getting pizza or a can of soup or some sort of left over.
But - he also does the majority of the cleaning in the house. So I guess it all comes even in the end.

I usually do during the week....sometimes on the weekends he likes to BBQ. But he does do the major cooking for the holidays while I entertain
