Who deals with LOTS of dog hair? What vacuum do you have?

I am SO SO tired of my vacuums not working after a few months of sucking up the massive amounts of dog hair.....

DH has to unclog the hose every 3rd time.....
It never seems to pick up enough dirt or hair....

And I'm weary of getting a dyson since consumer reports says it's not worth the money

Here's what I got out of my carpet the first time I vacuumed with a Dyson and after that I became a dealer...

The vacuum I had before the Dyson was a Rainbow.

Dyson is worth every penny, hands down!!!!!!!!!!!

I vacuum all the time and always thought my house was always so clean, until I got a Dyson and used it. I almost fainted when I saw how much dust, hair, etc.. it picked up.

See I must have a defective Dyson - cause it is HORRIBLE!!!!

I have to clean out a clog in the brushes during every vacuuming
To me it is such a pain in the rear - I hate that we spent ALL of this money - and I hate it!!!

I purposely bought the Dyson for dog hair - cause I have a long-haired Golden
And I don't know it is because of the long hair - but we have nothing but problems since the beginning

I have a Miele TT Cat and Dog and its pure luxury. I don't know anyone personally with a Dyson who likes it...but lots of people do, I just don't know any!

The Miele is super quiet and comes with like 4 different heads, the attachments live right on board so you never lose them. The bags are made of fabric, so not much dust escapes from them. It was expensive, but so worth it. I have 2 very hairy cats!

I think Fortunoffs carries Miele vacuums

I have no pets but love the dyson. I am amazed at the junk it pick up. I also vacuum 2x a day and it still finds the funk. I have the purple one.

We have a small dog who doesn't shed, but she like to track in grass, mud, leaves, etc all over the house after being outside. We have the purple animal dyson and we love it. One quick sweep of the rugs makes it all go bye bye!

ETA: Dysons are on sale this week at Target and you get a gift card with each purchase of one for something like $50

I have three dogs and I bought the bissel pet vac with the hepa filter. I love it! The suction is great and picks up all the hair that my rottys shed all through my house. I was going to buy the dyson but didn't want to spend a fortune. I got the bissel for like 150 on sale.

We got the dyson vacuum, Purple one for pets. I love it, but we got as a gift, and i dont have a pet in my section of house. It does get deep down on the rug tho. I love it.

i have the bissel pet hair vacuum. I think i got it on sale at target for around $160. It works great at picking up all the dog hair...i have a yellow lab who nonstop sheds. It is an upright vacuum that has a switch to turn on a brush when you are on carpet and off when you are doing wood floors. Then there is another attachment that you can use to do the furniture.
I really love it
ETA: i got it about a month or two ago so i don't know the long term wear; however, i had a regular bissel that i used with the dog for 2 years and was not broke but i wanted one specifically for pet hair.

we have the Bissell Pet vac from target! we LOVE it! its great for dog hair and has the pet brush that picks up great!

highly recomended and its cheaper than the dyson.. we had it over a year now!

After buying 3 under 200 bucks I truly believed that it was an unbelievable waste of money!!! I got a 20% off coupon for Linens n Things and DH and I bought the Dyson 07 this weekend for a little over 300 bucks...I think it was 342 or something like that! It's the yellow one!! I did the Dyson test...used the old one and swept the whole house *thinking* it was clean...then used the Dyson and to my surprise I had a FULL canister by the time I made it to the bedrooms! I'm in love!

We're in the market for a new vacuum too and have heard great things about the Dyson. I sooooooooo want to get one, the only reason we haven't is bc of the $$. I'm thinking it might be worth it to make the investment tho.

I can heartily recommend the Dyson Pet vacuum, it has been well worth the money. I have two dogs and one cat...lots of hair.

The dyson gets ups dirt I didn't know I had!

I have 3 dogs and 4 cats I have a Dyson Pet for over 3 years now and it still works great!
