Who does your DC look like?

Just a SILLY question for this Wed morning and bc I'm bored....Does your DC look like you or your DH/significant other?

And were you secretely hoping they would look like you or your DH/significant other?

DD looks like my DH and I was secretely hoping she would look like me I get upset when people say she looks like him lol

AGAIN, this is just a silly question, no drama intended! (you never know sometimes)

Everyone says DD looks like DH, but they say she has my eyes. She has his smile and I think that's why she looks so much like him because her lips get thinner when she smiles. If shes just sitting around her lips are like mine, it's funny how they get so thin when she smiles.

My DH is handsome, but I wish she looked more like me because she's a girl lol but maybe she will grow into looking more like me.

When I look at her she has more that is me, like my hair color, fingers, eyes, but her beautiful smile takes over and is him.

It's not a silly question. It's probably one of the top 10 most frequently asked questions on here.

Most DC look like the father when they are infants (species survival technique, so the father would know the child was his, and stay with the mother and child), but then change into whomever they are going to look like after a few years, give or take.

DS is 8, and he looks a lot like me. DD is 5, and looks a lot like DW. DD looked more like me when she was born (almost identical to her brother).

My DD looks exactly like my husband. His baby pics look just like her. Except she has blue eyes and neither me or my husband have blue eyes. She gets it from his side of the family though!

Right now she looks like DH. everyone swears she is his mini-me. But she has my eyes.

I say the only reason people think they look so much alike is because they have the same hairline since they are both baldies.

DS 1 looks like DH all the way. When I was pregnant we knew he was gonna look like him it was just a feeling.

DS2 We have no idea who he looks like When i was pregnant we swore he was gonna look just like his brother but he came out with red hair and pale skin. Go Figure

he is all his daddy. literally, they are clones down to the shapes of their skulls and curled under pinky toes.

i would say jack has my defined chin, and thats about it.

People always say she looks exactly like me.

When she was first born she looked exactly like my baby pictures and now at 20 months, if you look at old pictures of me you wouldn't be able to tell us apart.

BUT - there was a few months in between, where she looked like DHs baby photos too. So she does have a little of both of us.

When DD was born she looked just like me and nothing like DH. By 2 months old she was all DH and it has stayed that way. She only has my nose. She is a spitting image of him. I actually have a picture of him holding her where her head is right below his and even their ears stick out the same way. They even have the same facial expressions.

We were both hoping DD would look like me and have DHs personality since he is much more laid back and personable than I am. We got the exact opposite. I'm just hoping his personality can rub off on her as she grows up.

My dd is ALL MY DH. I swear she looks nothing like me. I have dark brown hair and brown eyes. My dd has blond hair and blue eyes. Maybe the next one will look like me

Our DD is my mini-me. She has Daddy's blue eyes but the rest of her is all me. Same face, same body shape, same hair color. We look almost exactly alike as babies/toddlers. There is no mistaking she's mine!

DD looks like me. She looks exactly like I did at the same age. There are moments though when she looks totally like DH, but DD and I have the same eyes and that's all people see. So, when we're out people always tell us she looks just like me.

DS1 - clone of DH. Looks nothing like me. Changed a bit. Still looks like DH, but not as much. Has my straight brown hair (even though I highlight it blonde). DH has curly dark brown hair

DS2 - a mix, but starting to look more like me. Funny, everyone said he looks like me and my MIL is the only one who kept saying she doesn't see it. Figures

I was hoping DS looked my my DH...but he looks like my brother some say DH. Depending on what face he makes he can look like anyone in our families He i 11 weeks so I guess it will change...

It has changed as they've gotten bigger. At first both DC looked like me. But now, DS looks like DH and DD looks like me.

DD looks like a minature clone of my husband.
Strangers in restaurants, stores etc will actually comment on how striking the resemblance is.

When I am out with her alone I am sure people think I adopted her.

I am fine with it- DH is a good looking guy and DD is just freaking adorable!

I actually secretly hoped she would have his Italian genes because he has better coloring- I'm on the pastey white side!

My son looks alot like me when I was little BUT he is his father 10000000000% he has his maneurisms..

my older DD is my CLONE.. no doubt about it.. she looks exactly like I did when I was her age.

my younger DD looks EXACTLY like my ex mil.. she looks NOTHING like me or her dad lol

Everyone says DS looks JUST like DH, but I don't see it

He has my eyes for sure and my nose it seems. But overall he looks more like DH apparently.

DD looks like me, hands down. People used to say it all the time and I didn't see it, but the older she gets, and the curlier her hair gets, all I see is me as a little girl. Lucky devil!

everyone said dd looked like dh and it killed me. i mean i def saw a lot of me in her but people would actually fight with me that she doesnt look like me. it hurt, it took over a year to stop caring. i know she looks like me and if they want to fight about it with me i can handle it.

It really depends on the day; it goes back and forth so much. Some days people think she is all me, other days she looks like dh. It's weird.

From what I've been hearing lately she looks like a good combo of both of us. That's nice to hear!!! At least then people know we are both her parents!! Lol
