Who here labored and pushed before needing a c section?
How many of us went through labor before having an emergency c section?
I labored for over 24 hours..pushed for 3 hours, only to need an emergency c section. I was in a lot of pain for weeks afterwards. My doctor said I was basically recovering from BOTH since we didnt go straight to a c.
I was just wondering if for those of us who pushed before needing a c had a rougher recovery?

I did---2x...
the first time over 30 hours then a c section---the second time...walked in10 centimeters dilated pushing and got knocked out with a gas mask...
it didn't affect my recovery though..
it was the same as the scheduled c section..but everyone is different!

my doctor does not allow women to labor all day if they are not progressing....makes recovery so much harder
I labored for about 6 hours and then had the section

This was my DRs theory as well, which was why she suggested a scheduled section for me. And I am glad that I took her advice because my recovery was very easy considering it was surgery.
