Who hosts/"throws" the baby shower?
I know bridal shower is typically the Mother of the Bride? What's the deal for a Baby Shower?

in my experience typically the mother the mother lol

I think normally it's the mother. In my case, since my mother is deceased, it's my MIL and my dad's wife... i think.

I don't think there are any rules.
I've been to some where both the preggo's mother and MIL host.
Others where the sister of the preggo hosts.
And other where the mother of mom-to-be hosts only.
My mom and sister will be hosting, but all 3 of us will be planning it.

My mother, mils, sisters and sis in laws are all throwing it. Im glad cause i think its only right. Aterall it is my mil's grandchild too

My mom refused to throw me one. She calls it "having your hand out" and told me I'd be a beggar if I did. She said the same thing about having a bridal shower. She's ridiculous, but whatever. 
My sister-in-law and two close friends each offered to throw it for me so the three of them are working on it for me.
I don't think there's a hard and fast rule. Whatever works for you and your family is what matters.

two of my best friends with my mom are throwing mine. . my mom would have but my friends totally wanted to and offered and since my mom is throwing one for my SIL 6 weeks before I honestly think she was thrilled!

I think all the mom's (Mom, MIL, Step-Mom, and Step-MIL) are taking part, but my mom is kind of spearheading it.

My sister and SIL (DH).. I overheard my Mom and MIL talking about doing it but I think my Sister and SIL beat them to the bunch and the greedy girls said they didn't want anyone to get involve..  Let see the friendly battle when the day approaches..
