Who is doing a chair rail for the nursery?
I want DH to do one, but is it very difficult? WOuld he be able to do it by himself?

Me!! I just posted pics yesterday. My DH and father put it up this past weekend.
Did it take them very long to do it? Dh will do it, but he hates when things take all day long to finish.

No they got the railing up in less than 2 hours. Then the caulk had to dry so they touched up the paint the following day. All in all 4 hours maybe but spread over two days.

We're doing a chair rail and crown moulding in the nursery. It's not really difficult, my DH installed it all in our living room/dining room/foyer. It just takes a little planning. I recommend pre-painting the trim and using a nail gun. It makes the whole process much quicker and neater.

Chair rails are great if you are doing two different paint colors on the wall -- it separate them. Other than that, it is just decorative (like crown modling) and looks pretty
