Who is still unemployed for September?
Just trying to make myself feel better. It is almost August and I still have no clue where I will be in September. 
I don't even know if the perm sub job in my old district is a go or not. No one seems to want to get back to me.

Me! and I was going to make a post like this...I honestly feel so sad. This is the first time in 7 years that I'm seriously looking (I was excessed) I can't believe this is happening.

Me too...rumor mill is telling me that I'm going to the HS in September, but until I sign those papers you just never know  I feel like it's just never going to get better!

I look everywhere and anywhere all day long.
I am constantly going to craigslist, olas, monster, careerbuilder, plus more.
I'm not even picky. I am submitting my resumes all the way throughout Westchester. I just want a job and I want to teach. This is the first time in 5 years that I will be without a classroom. The only reason why I had a job last year is because we moved down south so I can teach.
We have decided that if I don't have a job for next school year then we are going back down south (as long as my house doesn't sell before then).
It's just so depressing. I am still going to staples and getting the deals that I could possibly use, but I have boxes and boxes of supplies and no place to put them!!!!
Good luck to everyone who is in the same situation! Job dust to everyone!

I remember I had sent about 90 resumes directly to queens schools and only had 3 calls- I had sent them the last week in August hoping that people didn't return to their schools and I started my job 2 weeks into the school year...although this was pre-hiring freeze and budget cuts- maybe you'll still have some luck for mid-september calls! GL

I believe there is still a 2nd grade leave replacement in my district open - I am in Westchester though.

My DH is going on interviews because he NEEDS to get out of his current school, but nothing yet... unfortunately the open market transfer period ended yesterday so now he needs principal consent...
