Who is your homeowner's insurance company?
We have Allstate but we got notified they are dropping us because we are too close to the water (which we arent that close to it) but I have to start researching other companies because I dont trust Allstate to set me up with the most afforadable company. (what do they care, you know?)

we have our cars insured with them as well.

We got a similar letter this summer & changed all of our policies to State Farm using Smileyd17 from here

Oh please. Don't get me started on that. We got dumped by All State for the same reason too. I think I should actually get to smell salt water if I'm going to be considered "coastal".
Anyway, we were able to get insurance through State Farm and they had the best rates, also.
On a different note, we received notification that there was a class action suit against All State for this but I haven't heard if there has been a settlement as of yet.

We use Liberty Mutual. There is a canal at the other end of my block, so like 10 houses away.
My BIL and his wife just called them to get insurance for a house they are buying in central Nassau and they were told they are too close to the water.
