who is your pediatrician in Queens and
-Where are they located? -Why do you like them? -Is it a one DR practice or group practice? -Does he /she do the weight and height of the baby or does the nurse?
I am thinking of maybe switching (not 100% sure yet) and just want to get some names in case I decide to do so, so I can do some research and find a new dr.
Thank you in advance p.s. sorry if some of the questions sound silly

Re: who is your pediatrician in Queens and
I go to Dr. Lorie Iurato in Middle Village. She works with Dr. Joseph Savitt. I really like Dr. Lorie. She listens to m concerns and is very real with us. She also really cares about the babies. Any time I've called with a concern she either takes the phone immediately or calls me back within an hour.
Dr. Lorie does all of the weighing and measuring herself. I recommend her,

Re: who is your pediatrician in Queens and
I used Dr. Diaz on 26th Avenue across from Bay Terrace in Bayside. She is a solo practice and very good. My SIL has been using her for 8 years and DH's cousin lives in MV and goes to her also.
ETA: Dr. Diaz does everything from measuring the children to administering the shots. She actually doesn't have a nurse.

I used Dr. Dillello for 3 years. I only stopped going to her because I moved to CT. My DH went to her father. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: who is your pediatrician in Queens and
I went to Dr. DiLello for the first 2 months with DS.
I liked her as a pediatrician, however, I do not like her practice and switched to Forest Hills Pediatrics on 70th Road.
I would never go back to Dr. DiLello. This was my experience there.
Dr. DiLello works by herself and is always overbooked.
My firsty visit there with DS, at 10 days old, I waited an hour before being seen.
My 2nd visit, I think he was 6 weeks, we waited 2 freeking hours!!! 2 hours with a newborn. I was LIVID.
The office always looked dirty, and the scale had a FISHING WEIGHT on it to balance it.
Also, DS peed on the table and the girl in Dr. DiLello's office DIDN"T even clean it up.
Dr. Dillelo, herself, was a very nice woman and seemed to be knowledgeable but her office S*U*C*K*E*D!!
I am happy with Forest Hills Pediatrics. They are a group of 5-6 drs. I have seen 3/4 of them and they were all good.
I have never waited more then 10-15 minutes.
The nurses do the weight and height.
Good luck with your search!

Personally I think this could have been via fm but maybe that's just me.
You and I had completely two different experiences at Dr. DilLello's office or Dr. Pam as we called her. My family has know her a long time and maybe that's why I find what you wrote sad.
Did you meet her prior to your DC birth? I was prepared for the fact that her office was not the best but willing to over look it for her care. I go to a modern group practice in CT and would go back to her in a minute if she wasn't over an hour away. Trust me I have thought about many times.
I believe that her office will improve once St. John's closes. Sorry to hear about your experience. I still keep in contact with her so I maybe I will let her know about your negative experience. .

I disagree. I don't think this should have been written in a FM.
I think everyone deserves to know what other's opinions are when looking for a dr.
I do agree that Dr. Pam, herself, was a very good doctor and I stated that in my post.
That does not change the fact that in no way should a newborn, less then 2 months old, be made to wait for a scheduled appointment for over 2 hours.
I went to her on the very high recommendations of my cousin and her kids, who are now teenagers and went to Dr. Pam their whole lives, and loved her.
It is unfortunate the experiences I had in her office, because I do agree that Dr. Pam was a sweet woman and remembered my child the 3 times we were there and really seemed to care.
That does not change the fact that her staff left my 6 week old in a soiled examining table and I, as the mother, had to pick him up and clean off the table.

Re: who is your pediatrician in Queens and
I use Dr. Theodora Panteloglou. She was recommended to me by Dr. Timonthy George in West Islip. I was moving to Bayside, and she just happened to be starting a solo practice there. She is WONDERFUL. She has been a lifesaver to me and my DD. She does everything herself, and will ALWAYS call me back within like 10-15 minutes. She is located at 214-30 46 Avenue. I really cannot say enough nice things about her. She is very understanding and will listen to all your concerns. She has a website you can check her out on:
http://drtheodorapanteloglou.com/
I cannot recommend her highly enough. Please feel free to FM me if you have any questions.

Like I say you and I had two different experiences. It seems to me that you are still angry about it. The OP never asked for info on Dr. DiLello, someone else suggested her first. That's why I thought it could have been done via FM because it looks like you are bashing her or should I say her staff. Time to move on.
You are your child's only advocate and can't say I blame you for switching doctors. This is the last I'm posting on the matter. No sense in debating over a doctor we both no longer use for different reasons.

I agree and this is my last post as well since we are hijacking the original post.
OP asked for information on doctors so she could do her research. I offered my experience in response to someone else's recommendation so that she can make an informed decision, not to bash Dr. Pam's office.
As a mother looking for a new ped. I would want to hear everything. Good and bad.
I'm very happy to hear you had such a great experience with Dr. Pam and there are many others who agree with you.
