Who knew there was milk in baby toothpaste?
So Andy was diagnosed with a severe milk and milk protein allergy and we have to be really careful about what he eats. However, it never occured to me to look at his toothpaste, until my friend called me today and told me that she saw on the box that most of them have milk and eggs (her daughter is allergic to eggs). How crazy is that? And since the tube doesn't have the ingredients listed I have no idea if ours has milk or not. So annoying!

Re: Who knew there was milk in baby toothpaste?
really???? I never knew that.
here's what I found...
Gum And Tooth Paste Dairy protein may be in chewing gum, sometimes under the name recaldent, look out for packages that say "whitening", these are likely to have milk. Similarly in tooth paste, mention of "whitening" is a clue the toothpaste might have milk protein. Contact the manufacturer or choose a different tooth paste.
