Who said video games AREN'T good for a child

As some of you know.. my kid is TOTALLY into baseball this year... It has quickly become his thing. For a while, I feared his other thing, playing video games, will trump his legos and cars which USED to be his thing

But something I have noticed within the last couple of months....

He is learning SO MUCH with regard to baseball terms, situations and rules from MLB 2K8

and I *think* he's accidentally learning some math dealing with stats and probability...

Baseball is great that way...

I learned all about the rules of baseball from this video game my older brother had on his COMMODORE 64!!! They're not totally bad!

Good for Aidan!

I have to moniter video game usage carefully - but I do notice that Robbie's reading skills did improve when he first started playing games that required him to read a bit!
