Who suffers fever blisters?

I hate them, hate them, hate them!!!


I woke up with a baby one this morning.
I have all the meds for it, thank gosh!
I just dont know why i got one.
No sun, no stress, not sick

arghhhhhh!!

I get them too, and they suckk!!! I find that regular carmex out of the little round tub works the best for me- much better than Abreva.

I get them too. Recently I feel like I've been getting them a lot more again.

I feel like nothing really works - except about 10 years ago I had the worst outbreak - my entire mouth/nose area was covered It was horrendous. And I finally went to the Dr and he gave me a prescription for pills (which are were also prescribed for things like shingles) and that seemd to really work.

I tried to get my current Dr to give me a prescription for the same so I could have it on hand, but instead she gave me a prescription for another cream - $30!! - that doesn't do any more then something like Abreva.

I can't figure out any real rhyme or reason why I've been getting them lately - I get them when I'm sick, but I've been fine so

I also get them and hate them. I would go through periods were one would come go and then a few days later another one or I would two or three little ones at a time. I use Deniver, it is a prescription cream and works great. It clears up so fast. My worst break out was an allergic reaction to perfume I wore in the sun. I put perfume on and around my collar bone like most people but 3 weeks before my wedding I shouldn't have. I had a collar of blisters 2 inches wide and I also was wearing a stapless dress! I went to the derm. and he gave me a high does of valtrex and some sort of really strong cream and it was gone in a week. All that was left was red marks so that was cover with make up. I also noticed that if I eat certain foods while stressed it brings them on.

Didn't you have unexplainable heartburn yesterday also? What's going on here? Could you possibly be having an allergic reaction to something you ate? Or maybe your pregnant? Hey...I had some WEIRD aches and pains with both of my pregnancies...ya never know!
