That's more dangerous than you could ever imagine. In college I worked at the local museum in the reptile room. We had a HUGE, sweet, gentle boa named Fred. I asked one day where Fred came from and I was told that he was donated after he ate the family PET

I wouldn't. 
I actually saw a program in the Discovery Channel of a family that has tons of snakes and all the babies sleep with them since they are infants so that they get used to. I can't remember the country though. I wanted to faint when I was watching......
They also had other animals in the house like spiders that were huge.... and when they were eating dinner at the table those creatures will be all over the food and they didn't mind.
The reporter was invited to eat with them at the table but he didn't even though he sat at the table with them out of respect.....
