Re: who's had a laproscopic ovarian cyctectomy? Update: wow i'm in pain
I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a rough recovery!
If you can, have DH get you some Colace. That will help with the BM. Sorry if TMI, but the pain meds can cause constipation and with sore ab muscles, BMs can be a bit awkward.
Did the doctor give you a binder? It's like an elasticy thing that goes around your midsection. It did help support everything and made it less painful.
Feel better!!!

Sorry to hear you are in pain. The side affects from the anesthesia are always awful for me. That may have contributed to your panic attack.
Try & stay hydrated-that will help with the throat & the digestion.
(I didn't have this surgery, but I had a laproscopic total hysterectomy 2 years ago & a laproscopic partial nephrectomy 8 months ago.)
thanks, trying to stay hydrated. throat better. sorry you've been through this twice ugh.
pain still sucks, i refused to keep taking oxy so i'm just trying to rest. i have a brand new respect for women who had c sections!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can barely move and i only have 3 tiny holes, i can't imagine how women feel after being sliced from stem to stern!!!! the abdominals! oy
Is Oxy your only option? with my 1st surgery I also had an anti-inflammatory, which I felt helped more than the pain meds.
For the 2nd one, I was able to take Tylenol in between the Norco & then I switched to Tylenol only, but I do think I tried to go without the Norco too soon. I was terrified of dependence & withdrawal. (Obv. check with the surgeon's nurse--don't just make stuff up.)
That surgery was more painful than the 1st, because it was a cyst removal, so the kidney had to heal back together where they took the cyst out. Taking all my parts out was easier!
and I hear ya on the C-sections-especially having to then care for a newborn & possibly older children.
Yeah they only gave me Oxy. I took 2 Tylenol extra strength yesterday and i might as well have taken M & M'.
Try advil rather than Tylenol with the Oxy. My nurse told me I could take advil right along with tbe Oxy. It definitely helped (though my pain wasn't so bad) Feel better!

Glad to hear that you're feeling better and that there wasn't an infection! Hope each day is a bit better until you're fully healed!

That's what my boss said Monday! She was shocked to see me. I had to promptly then leave.
Thanks, me too! Have to say overall experience was the worst i've ever felt in my life. I was contemplating getting a breast lift/reduction for my 40th. NO WAY IN HELL.
