Why are boy names so hard?
OMG I feel like I don't have any on my list that I love. I don't want a popular name and I prefer a little non traditional and I don't like names that are shortened to nicknames. HELP!!
I'm using my baby name book but seriously 75% of that book is a waste of paper with the names. I realize that at some point in time someone was named one of those names but really in the 21st century how many people are going to name their kid Aladdin?  No offense meant to anyone, I just think of the disney cartoon.

I hear ya..........I posted about this previously but my husband and I really don't agree on any boy names. He likes all the very ethnic Italian names and I'm not really crazy about Vincent, Salvatore or even Anthony (although I prefer that over the other two). Other names that we are somewhat agreeable on we know other couples in our circle who named their child that (ie. Christopher, Nicholas).
I am leaning towards Matthew Robert right now and he hasn't completely turned his nose up, so we shall see.......I really don't want to abbreviate it to Matt or Matty either.....I like full names too.
I also don't want to do the "repeat" names after my husband/his father/grandfather. Robert is my dad's name and we decided we want to use that as a middle name regardless.

We had this problem the first time around. Now since there is only one he will be a junior....so much easier to do it that way!

We had the same problem with boy names. Girl names were easier to find. We finally decided. However, some of our possibilies that we wound up not using were Spencer, Ryan, and Harrison.

Boys names are so hard. That's why I get so mad when people start taking good boys names and using them on girls. 
It's hard to find something that is not too common, but not totally out there.

we are the opposite- we have had a boy's name since we were dating and the discussion came up- (Brandon)
but we can't seem to come up with and agree on a girl's name...

opposite problem here. can't find a single girl name that I love and only a few that I like. I have a ton of boys names, but DH has narrowed it down to two.

Oh you are definitely not alone. Girls names are SO much easier. I *think* we've settled on ours. I have a book I can send you called cool names for babies that has a lot of ideas. One of our names I got from a fiction book and the other my husband thought of.

we had the opposite problem we couldnt come up with a girls name for anything and we were hoping for a boy just for the fact that we had the boys name already but we are having a girl we finally found a girls name we agree apon with alot of now just have to agree on the middle name I swear it never ends.
