Why does mother nature feel the need to keep me up at night

I finally fell asleep last night at 11:45pm to only wake up at 3:30am and didn't go back to sleep until 5:30 when DH got up and then at 6 he felt he need to play playstation (it's in our room) so then I was half asleep.

Did she forget that I already have a child and know I will need to get up in the middle of the night?
