Why does there seem to be such a problem with people having PRIDE in their jobs?
Maybe it's just me but on a DAILY BASIS I find that people just don't seem to give a sh*t anymore. I could go on and on, but today's example is my post man who is the laziest man alive...he leaves packages ON TOP of my mailbox instead of just bringing them up to the front door. 9 out of 10 times he ignores the "up" flag on the mailbox and leaves the outgoing mail in the box and just keeps on going...
Anyway, whether it's the post man or some other random person I deal with, it just seems that people DO NOT CARE if they do the job right or not...

with people like that i feel that they dont like their jobs and thats why they dont give it 100%. but i always say that if you dont like your job, go get another one.
i cant begin to tell you about the disgruntled rude salespeople that work at the mall. if you dont like working there, dont be mean to everyone...go find a job that makes you happy!

You know, you are so right.
Obviously, that example is not the way it is for everyone and there are a lot of hard working people out there that do the right thing-- BUT I notice a lot, and especially in recent years-- that people don't care anymore-- AT ALL.
A job like working for the USPS strikes me as a job that people should have MORE pride for b/c of the service they provide and the quality job it is.
I don't get it-- I don't understand why but I guess "lazy" would be the word to use?? If I were you though- I would call your Local Branch and report him.
Why people just don't care I'll never understand.

i agree.....people hate their jobs and just work for the paycheck, they dont care whether its done right or not!

I feel that way about soem people that work in 7-11. not everyone, but whenever i get my coffee in the AM, the one woman that works there is just rude. you don't need to be all sunshine, but a how are you won't kill you.
there are days when i don't have the best day at work, but i don't deal with the public.

I agree. At work whenever I have to talk to a client, I am the sweetest most professional person you will ever meet, regardless of how I feel inside. You go into the drug store or supermarket, and they act like they are doing a favor ringing you up. No one told you you have to work at Duane Reade people!!!!

I agree 100%!! Our post man actually left us a note telling us to "put the names of the people who live here on the box"..SOOOO..I did that..and he still leaves mail for people who's names AREN'T on the box, and completely different STREETS!!!
