Why has my 2 year old dropped his nap?
I am exhausted...he doesn't seem to want to have a nap anymore. Today he was dropping off and I put him in his crib...he went MENTAL.
This mommy needs a break.
Anyone elses 2 year old stop napping? He will be a grotty ratty mess by 4 pm...
Oh well, I will let Grandma deal with it!

Hey Rachel - mine dropped his nap about 2 months ago. Its horrible. Evey now and then I'll get one, but its never something I can count on. I thought this wouldn't happen until he hit 3. Its a world new world of 5 pm crankiness in my house now.

My 2 older ones stopped napping by 2 - 2 1/2. Im hoping the baby continues longer. My nephew napped till he was 4 1/2!!
The loss of the nap is something to mourn  especially when they really could use on by day's end.

My dd tried this. I just changed the name of it and now it is quiet time. She has to stay in her bed for an hour of quiet time everyday. After 2 weeks she was napping again. some days she doesn't nap but she gets an hour of quiet time which I think is important and I get an hour of quiet time which is important too. When she naps it is always for a minimum of 2 hours.

My daughter does not really nap anymore consistenly. Sometimes, the days she goes to school, she will fall asleep on the way home or around 5:30, so I can only let her sleep a little bit. It stinks, I miss the down time. I am right there with you.
