Why is my 9 month old puppy behaving like this?
She has been so good after I had been overwhelmed with training her, being pregnant, working overnights, etc.
Our yellow lab has been much more gentle with me than my husband or SD7 or anyone else who comes over for that matter. I do believe she knows that I am more vulnerable than them.
Well, that went out the window today. We started off having a great morning.. It is BRUTAL hot outside, so I thought a break from the AC would be great, brought her outside, filled up her kiddie pool and got her all wet and splashing, etc. I went to walk towards the deck (wouid take me maybe 60 ft from her pool to the deck steps - she became VERY aggressive with me. She jumped up and hit me in the belly with her head/paws 4x, and while I was trying to push her down and reprimand her, she attacked my hands, which are both cut up pretty badly, bit my arms, was growling and the hair on the back of her was standing up.
This is not like her... I finally got away from her, left her outside for a few minutes to get something to drink, I am 38 weeks pregnant and havent felt him move since she hit me in the belly the few times - but we play in her pool 4-5x a week. I think she typiclly likes it, she is a lab, does these canon ball types of splashes into it, she enjoys cooling off.
What is with her behavior? DH isnt home for another 6 hours, and I don't feel comfortable being around her
What should I do?

so strange....... sometimes when Maggie gets too crazy outside shewill run around me like a lunatic and give me little nips on the leg as she passes but that's def more playing whereas your dog sounds like she got aggressive.... I swear they can smell the preg hormones. I am 32 wks preg and Maggie became very diff towards me this past week - but in a good way....
I would just keep her outside and separated until DH gets home. If your worried about the baby, drink some OJ and lay on your left side for a bit to see if you feel any movement.

when i became pregnant, my dog laid on top of me in bed. she knew i was pregnant before i did. i wouldn't be surprised if your dog knows this and is jealous...

Sounds like an energetic puppy that may need more exercise and training, not necessarily aggression. How much time is spent walking and training per week?
All dogs are different, and not all of them can be trusted to figure out who is more vulnerable. That's where training comes in not to nip or jump on anyone.
If your training isn't producing results, I would get a professional trainer's help.
