because nobody wants to admit that some good is coming out of us being there. My Dh has pics with Iraqi kids from when he was there as well. None that are as touching as this, I must admit, but still has pics with them. He has pics of them getting "supplies" and just hanging out with US Marines. The kids look so happy in every pic he has. He said that they know how to say thank you in English and that is all they ever heard froom them.
