why my beta is still so high?
Last Thu it was at 544. I started bleeding/passing the tissue on Saturday.
I went it for beta today and it is at 241 what?? i was hoping for something closer to 0. anyone has any clues?

i've heard that when you m/c naturally the numbers can take awhile to drop. the drop sounds pretty good to me too (if there is anything "good" about this). hang in there

hm.. really? last week it took one day for 200 points drop and now 5 days for 300???
my first drop was close to 500, then the next one was not even 200... as long as its around 15% its considered a good drop...

Your drops are similiar...dont panic!
I thought I was going to have a D&C after seeing the 544.

With my first m/c my #'s were somewhere in the 700's. It look 6 weeks for them to drop below 5.
For my second m/c my #'s were initially about 20,000 at 8 wks and dropped to 15,000 2 days later. (It was a later m/c.) I had the m/c about a week after the second beta and then it also took about 6 weeks for my #'s to drop below 5.

If you didnt stop bleeding and your numbers are still high...scream ...halelujah!!!!...No really!!! (I so didnt spell that right did I...LOL). The BEST thing with high numbers is to be bleedng so that your body can dispose the whole pregnancy. I am at week 4 or 5...miscarried on Nov 30th. I stopped bleeding around week 2. figured no blood means all is well. Nope!!! Dr was concerned bc as normal and natural this miscarriage was "supposed" to be I could have ended up with a D&C. My situation was a little different then some since I didnt have a D&C yet my body didnt just naturally let go. They did pills of cyotec to have a "natural miscarriage". little did I know that it "could" have ended in a D&C anyway.
When is your next repeat? To tell you the truth, if its not 0 today...they are NOT pricking me again for at least 3 more weeks. I dont know if I can listen to 5,4, 3, 2,1...its just ridiculous. Though they say 5 and less you can get AF.

With most of my miscarriages, my beta dropped drastically. With one of them, it sorta lingered around the 100 mark and 60's for 2 weeks. All in all I think that it took about 5 weeks. Even with a negative beta under 10, I had gotten pregnant. So hang in there and sorry for your loss.

Mine dropped quickly in the beginning and then slowed down. I went in weekly for 4 weeks before hitting 0. Good Luck!

ugh..i do not think i will follow your path. i took home preg test ( test strips) yesterday and it still shows a very faint line, meaning that my beta is somewhere around 25 now we will see on Thurs

last week beta was 71 . going in tomorrow for another test. have a good feeling about it ( and i have not had it in long time).
