Wild Berries - ok to eat?

Anyone know how to tell if random berries growing in your yard are ok to eat or poisonous?
I thought I heard something about if animals eat them they are ok. (however I haven't seen the deer touch them)
all of a sudden this year I have berries growing on the side of my driveway in the viney mess thats been there for years, never a berry. Here are pics, I wonder what they are...

From the picture, I would say those are raspberry bushes and perfectly okay to eat.

Look like wild raspberries. Maybe bring them to a garden center or something to verify?

They look okay, be sure to take the worms off of them before you eat them!

That is, of course, unless you like worms. In that case, just leave them on.
