Will a Britax Advocate or Roundabout fit in an airplane seat?
We are flying to Florida and have decided to buy our 16 month old DS a seat on the plane.
We have 2 car seats, a Britax Advocate CS and a Roundabout. They are so big that I worry about them fitting in the airplane seat.
Has anyone flown with either of these? Will it fit? Will fly either Jet Blue or Delta.
Thanks!

Um I hope so!! I have a Marathon and a Boulevard, and one of those is coming with us to Florida in a couple of weeks!

Not sure about the Advocate, but for some reason I thought my Round-a-Bout didn't , yet their site says its certified for aircraft travel, so I guess it does....

I've had two Boulevards on a plane on a couple of occasions. Snug, but they definitely fit, and I think those are one of the biggest, widest seats on the market, so anything else would have no problem.

The best way to find out - is to measure the seat at its widest. Then go to seat guru and check out the width of the seat (you can do it by checking the exact plane (it will also tell you the leg room and if you are in a good row or a caution one and why.
I haven't tried - I took our Comfortsport from DH's car instead.

The Roundabout should be no problem. while rated for airplane use, I would be concerned that the Advocate's side wings may make a tight fit.

We flew LOTS of times with our roundabout and had no problem. Most of our flights were on Southwest, but we've used it on Delta as well.

My Boulevard fit so I don't see why not.

I would take the Roundabout simply because the Advocate is a behemoth of a seat and I wouldn't want to lug that monster anywhere, nevermind through an airport with luggage and a child.
If the seat is FAA approved it has to fit in the seat. If the seat they assign you is too small, they are supposed to relocate you to a seat that will fit it.
