Will Costco return food item without receipt?

I bought a bag of grated cheese and it tastes funky. Can't find the receipt and think I threw it out. Can I return it?

Costco takes back everything and anything with and without receipt! Best customer service ever!

Yes, they will put it back on your Amex and can check your costco card. I once purchased bread and baked inside of it was some cord. I brought it back and costco corporate contacted me to let me know that they were pulling it off of the shelves based on my return as the manufacturer failed to meet their quality controls. To me that is amazing customer service. They absolutely take it extremely seriously.

I think all purchases are listed under your costco membership card if they really want to check.

They will check it on your card and take it back no questions asked. They do take it back even if you just changed ur mind. They throw out any returned food even if it is in an unopened package.

Thanks girls! They did take it back like you said and gave a store credit which was immediately used because all we do is spend a ton of money in there.
