Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I'm packing my hospital bag this am. I got 2 pair of nursing PJ's (and of course nursing bras and underwear)...one is a gown (knee-length) since that is recommended by a lot of BTDT moms. And the other is a set with a tank, wide-leg elastic pants and robe. I can wear the robe over the gown, too. I'm thinking I'll just wear these the entire time and just bring another comfy outfit for going home, but as I'm researching some hospital bag posts, I'm seeing people plan to/or did bring more clothes for the hospital stay. Do you plan to? I just want to be comfortable and to me, it doesn't get much more comfortable than pajamas!

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I'm wearing PJs in the hospital and probably for the first week I'm home, lol. I figure I'll be sore, sleep-deprived, and dealing with the heaviest AF ever. I might as well stick to comfy clothes.

I was so swollen that pj's were honestly the best option for me.

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I packed underwear but I never wore them. They give you these fishnet like undies and I kept wearing them so I didn't mess mine up. I brought 3 pairs of pj's because I was having a csection and would be there for a few days. The first day I stayed in my hospital gown. The second day I wore the hospital gown and wore my pj pants and a robe to walk around in. The third day I was in full pj's. I also brought a sleep nursing bra which came in handy.

Yup, with DS I only wore PJ's and comfy sweats. In the hospital and a few weeks after that!

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
First night I was in my hospital gown. I was in too much pain and bleeding too much to even care to change myself. Second day I wore sweats and a tshirt. Went home the next day in a sweatsuit.
Then remained in sweats for like 5 months lolol

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I have two cotton knee length gowns: 1 long sleeve/1 short sleeve
1 pair of black comfy cotton pants
2 tanks/1 long sleeve tee
Knee length cotton robe for gowns or over tank/pants
1 sweatsuit to wear home/with tank
Sleep nursing bra
Regular nursing bra
**I don't wear pajamas. I am always more comfortable in comfortable cotton lounge pants and tanks/tees/

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I never changed out of the hospital gown while I was there. And I wore their disposable undies so I didn't even wear the clothes I packed.

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
My plan was to bring two sets of "real" PJs (one gown with robe, one pants with nursing top) and also bring sweats / yoga pants so I have options in case I sweat through some (I have a tendency to have massive cold sweats in the middle of the night when I go through trauma and can literally picture drenching myself).
I'll bring something separate to wear home (but it'll probably be sweat pants too)
I asked at the hospital about undies and she said only for going home since they give you disposable ones that can also fit the ice pack in them. I'll probably take two pairs along, but we'll see. My plan is to start packing my bag today or tomorrow once I do one more load of laundry first (I want to wash the new PJs I got yesterday).
From my tour, it really didn't seem like you need to bring that much, but then again, you're only there for two nights depending on when and how you deliver. It's very exciting!!! But even if you forget something, it's still civilization and they'll be able to help out.

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I was in both times for 48 hours and I showered and always put PJ's back on. I wanted to be comfortable and TMI but you are bleeding a lot. I would rather ruin a pair of PJ's than clothes.

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
With my son I stayed in the hospital gown for 2 of the 4 days. Then I switched to some comfy loose t-shirts and mens boxers. It was by no means attractive, but I was SUPER DUPER comfy after an agonizing labor and c-section.

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I wore PJ's the whole time with #1, this time around I'll be wearing black sweatpant gauchos and a nursing tank.
I'm still on the hunt for a cute lightweight black robe which I don't think i'll find now, but I'm not giving up...lol

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I wore black yoga pants, a nursing tank & a long black sweater during the day. I changed into regular pjs to sleep.
You want to be comfy and you definitely want dark bottoms...

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
I had a c section with my DD and I was in the hospital gown for the first day and night until they told me I could shower. After I showered I wore t shirts and maternity yoga/pj pants until I went home (and even after that )

Re: Will you stay in PJs for your entire hospital stay?
With DS, I brought comfy sweats with loose shirts that I planned on wearing. I developed preeclampsia, had to go to a special recovery room and was not allowed out of bed for more than 36 hours. So I had no choice and had to wear the hospital gown for pretty much my entire stay.
I will bring the same thing for this PG and hope that I get to wear them!
