Window treatment question...
Ok so I am really bad at the window thing. If the bedding has a valance that matches it, what do you put on the actual window? shades? blinds? In the picture they show nothing, but that can't be right.
Sorry for the stupid question!
Oh and if anyone has pictures that would be SWEET.

Re: Window treatment question...
Honeycomb blinds are nice with a valance or shades or even wood blinds.

Re: Window treatment question...
We did the faux wood white blinds. I love the look of the honeycomb, but they don't let any air through if you have the windows open.
In our bedroom, we have the honeycomb, but the kind where the top comes down, so in the warmer months we drop it down and open the top of the window for air.
You might want to check out Linens and Things - I know that their blinds were 40% off the other day and the prices were pretty good.

Re: Window treatment question...
It's been about 6 years now since I bought them for DS's room, but we got room darkening blinds without a draw string. You just push up on the bottom of the blinds to open them, and pull down to close them. No cords to worry about. They are room darkening because they lay much flatter to each other than normal blinds. It really does block out almost all light. Makes for easier naps, and DC can sleep in later when the sun comes up, since they won't really notice the daylight.
