Windows Vista
So I have decided to get a lap top and all the new ones come with a three month TRIAL of Windows Vista. Thing is, after three months, you either have to purchase it or I guess, replace it?? If I don't want to keep VISTA and want to install, let's say another recent version on Windows (we have discs), what happens to all of your information that you have saved on VISTA after the three months when you load another windows version?
Am I making sense???

Re: Windows Vista
you need to make a backup of your data as when you reinstall a OS, it "can" and probally "will" delete you data.
You can transfer data to another machine via network connection, flash drive, dvd or cd burner if it came with the laptop...
if you have any vista questions, feel free to ask...i didn't know companies were giving out vista to try out. vista home premiem OEM will run you 100 bucks so think so consider that aslo 3 months down the road else you mind as will put Windows XP in now...

Re: Windows Vista
When I receive my new lap top, can I uninstall Windows Vista initially, and just replace it with Windows XP in order to avoid all the mess down the road...???
TIA
