Wine Favors

Help! I offered to help my sister find reasonable LI wine favors for her wedding that is out of state. I am not really a wine drinker.

Any suggestions?
Full bottle or half bottle?

Re: Wine Favors

What do you consider a reasonable price?

We gave out full bottles of Pindar's Pythagoras. We shopped around - best price we got with a case discount was somewhere around $8 something per bottle.

Honestly, we tried pretty much every available cheaper LI full bottles and didn't like any of them enough to give them out as favors. (Sorry, that's the wine snob in me)

IIRC, though, Duck Walk has full bottles that are less expensive than that.

Half bottles are fine, too, but you'll likely have to go through the vineyard or ask your local wine distributor. Not every wine will come in half bottle size.

$8 is resonable enough for me. Did you get that directly from Pindar or from a wine distributor?

I will be getting it and bringing it to her.

I bought personalized wine bottles from the Vineyard Caterers. They were $5.00 per bottle, but they were small bottles.

I did wine favors for my wedding. We got them from Duck Walk Vineyards in Southampton. I can't remember what we paid but I know we joined their wine club which gave us a decent discount. The best part though was that they labeled and gift wrapped the bottles so it was minimal work for us!

what time of year?

You can get Pindar winter white, autumn gold, or summer blush for about $4 a bottle at Bottle Bargains and Bottles and Cases.

Is will be the end of June, so summer blush could work. Chat Icon

I can FM you the info for where we bought it! It's MUCH cheaper to get it through a wine store than through the vineyard (yes, seriously!)
