Wish us luck...tomorrow is DS's surgery
Finally, he is getting his tonsils and adenoids done and they are always going to fix his tongue tie.
I am nervous about the surgery but I think more nervous about the recovery 
UPDATE
We're home and Tyler is doing well. He isnt interested in drinking much but had 2 puddings. Not much, but better than nothing. He is talking a little funny because his tongue is swollen because he also had his frenulum cut because he had a tongue-tie. I think his tongue may actually be bothering him more than his throat.
When I first went back to the recovery room he was crying which I didnt expect because he didnt cry when he had surgery when he was 2 for his circumcision repaire. It took a little while to calm him down but finally he fell asleep for awhile. He wasn't interested in drinking much while we were there. I know his throat was hurting him but I think his tongue hurt more. We finally got him to take a few sips so we could make sure he could swallow.
They gave him a dose of tylenol w/codeine while we were there that seemed to help. They gave me a presciption and I am going to give him another dose before bed. When I went food shopping I bought a bunch of ice pops, ice cream, yogurt and pudding but I still want him to drink, which he isnt interested in right now. I am hoping tomorrow he starts to drink more.
Please pray for a fast and speedy recovery  It really stinks seeing them in this kind of pain

Good luck! My brother had this done as a kid. He said that things tasted different after he had it done.
