Witching hour
so i noticed with my newborn that b/t 7-9PM he gets very cranky and doesn't know whether to eat, sleep, cry, etc. Before that and after that he is so good, i am wondering if anyone else's little ones goes through that too?

Re: Witching hour
Oh yes. Mine is 6-9.
He can not be soothed unless he is in someone's arms being walked around.

Re: Witching hour
Hey!!! Just wanted to say congrats and good to see you here.
DS's time is 5:30 - 9:30. It's crazy and we run around trying so many things. I can't wait for it to be over.

Re: Witching hour
Yeah, we've noticed a pattern with this time too. Although, on bad days, every hour is the witching hour

Re: Witching hour
Our DS changes it up on us all the time but it usually happens in the late afternoon to evening hours.

Oh, I remember those days. It will get better. I heard that it's their way of letting out their frustrations/stresses of the day.

Re: Witching hour
Chris is definately like this. He is happiest in the morning-afternoon. At night I make sure he eats and then swaddle him for the night.

Re: Witching hour
I think we might have passed this - Ainsley used to have a meltdown at 6:30 - wouldnt last too long, but it was like clockwork. I think it stopped at around 8 weeks - she's 10 weeks now.

Re: Witching hour
YES!!!! I think it is that he can't decide what he wants to do but it also takes them awhile to wind down after all the stimulation from the day.
