With a Power Outage, How Long Can Food Stay?
We lost our power at 11:30 AM. How long can I keep my refrigerated and freezer food before dumping it?
This sucks!

With a Power Outage, How Long Can Food Stay?
Don't open the freezer! Not sure on how long. In the past I would get a cooler with ice and put important things from the fridge in there. I hope it comes back on soon.

I'd say your freezer food is good as long as it doesn't defrost. Once it defrosts completely, I think you have to cook it or chuck it. Not sure about fridge...I think it depends on the food items you have in there.

a well packed freezer can stay frozen for days, if the content is tightly packed. The fridge can stay cold as well if also tightly packed and the door kept closed...
does suck
