Maybe from an ATM. But if you go to a teller you can pretty much get what you want.
I've withdrawn thousands from a teller before.

Same here. I have an $800 limit on the ATM but I've taken thousands out from the teller inside.

ditto---ATMs can have limits---but I remember having to take out thousands in cash from my account when I had to pay for our wedding balances.

Re: Withdrawing money from the bank
I use Commerce (the cult bank) and can w/draw up to $1.5K from savings, and up to $2K in checking from an ATM. I just call if I need to w/draw more than that.
I haven't seen the inside of a bank in a few years...I do everything via ATM.

Re: Withdrawing money from the bank
I don't know how much you are looking to take out, but any cash above 10,000 I believe will be written up by the bank. You can have the $ but they have to make a formal statement about any cash in that amt.

They would fill it out, not you. Any cash coming in or going out 10,000 or more has to be written up, that was the protocol years back at least. It's for tracking purposes.
