Whatever with a capital W. Sorry, but I can't begin to judge Kate. She has EIGHT children....EIGHT!!!! I don't think anyone here can begin to relate...and we also can't relate to being photographed every second of the day. I give her a lot of credit....I think the paparazzi are grasping at straws to keep this ridiculous story interesting.
ITA!!! Leave the woman alone already. We do not know what is really going on vs what the cameras are showing us. Everything is edited. It is so easy to judge when we are not in her shoes.

I think a lot of moms try to give her the benefit of the doubt b/c they see some of themselves in her SOME of the time.
yes, everyone gets short with their SO.
no, you don't always have the time or inclination to get down and dirty (or wet) with your kids.
BUT, I am sure if pappos followed most of you around as much as they followed them, you'd be caught DOING those things far more often than NOT.
and that is the difference.
it's a preponderance of the evidence here, not a fleeting observation.

I do watch the show on occassion (my nieces are addicted)
she is NOT a mom like the rest of moms out there.
I don't think anyone that doesn't have the kind of help, money, or life she now currently lives should remotely compare themselves to her.
I agree with ALL of what you wrote about MANY moms.
just not about her.
ETA: I also want to say I NEVER said she was a bad mom.
Yet again, I agree.
Oh and I was the one who thinks she's a crappy mom.
I'm sorry if my opinion offends anyone, but this is just how I feel about Kate Gosselin. I hope no one thinks I feel this way about working moms in general b/c that is the FURTHEST thing from the truth.

You know I would completely agree with you if it weren't for the fact that she and Jon made a conscious decision to be on a TV show and put their lives on display. So yeah, with that comes being photographed. That's no secret.
There are PLENTY of big families out there. I know of two families with 7 and 10 children each NOT including my husband's family - he is one of SEVEN children.
My MIL didn't have nannies or cooks or any other help other than the older kids and they managed and didn't need to pimp themselves on TV to get by. My FIL worked and my MIL stayed home. They led a SIMPLE life, didn't have everything their hearts desired but after 49 years of marriage they're still going strong. Maybe had Jon and Kate just lived their life and not looked to make a spectacle of themselves they'd be in a better place.
I don't feel bad for Kate and Jon, they made a conscious decision about the way to live their life. They've made their bed, now they have to lie in it.

WHERE THE HECK IS JON, AND WHY DIDN'T HE TAKE THEM ON VACATION?????
funny - if it were HIM doing the book tours, dealing with the pap, and juggling the kids while on vacay - the media would be singing his praises about what a GREAT dad he is!!!!!!!! but because it's HER, it's a different story. give me a break with the friggin double standard

I won't speak for anyone but myself but if the roles were reversed and she was the one who was home with the kids and he was the one acting the way Kate does, I'd feel the exact same way that I currently feel about Kate. Did that make sense? 
Honestly, I think they're both crappy parents.

As for ignoring her kids, I text message when I'm out with the kids and talk to adults too.
Pathetic that they grasp at straws like that to portray her as the villian.
I completely agree with this.
