Won't sleep - won't nap?

What is going on??????? I just don't get it. She used to nap 2 hours, twice a day. Now she is fighting them with all she's got and bedtime is even worse. I already adjusted her bedtime because she just wasn't ready at 7:30 anymore...so she'll lay down for one or two hours...then up every 10, 30 minutes, etc. Alllll night. And her eyes are closed the whole time, it's almost like in her sleep. Last night she was gassy so I gave her mylicon...that wasn't it...up again. Then I thought okay she's been teething...Tylenol and a frozen Nuk...that wasn't it. I thought okay maybe she is hungry, took the bottle, slept on me...then as soon as we lay her in the crib...stands up crying again with her eyes closed.

Any suggestions? Thoughts?Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

How about playing a lullaby CD? I play the baby einstein cd's for DS at naptime and bedtime.

This might sound awful, but try sitting on the couch (or rocker) for a good 30 min. or more before putting her to bed. OR, lay her on the floor propped up on a BOPPY pillow for a few minutes and then transport her back to bed. I have to do this with DS sometimes or he keeps waking up. We have a sound machine in his room as well that plays almost 24/7 because we noticed he sleeps well at the pool where there is an activity pool that gushes constantly and somewhat sounds like the ocean.Chat Icon
