wooden high chairs at restaurants
I was wondering when you started putting DC in them and if you have a seat cover you bring with you. We are going to FL next week and I am not sure what we'll do at restaurants. DS can sit up (if we sit him up) on the floor, but he falls within a couple of minutes. We've been bringing in his infant carrier to restaurants, but now he's in the convertible seat. Do you think he'll be okay in a wooden seat? Should I just bring his stroller into restaurants and sit him next to the table? I'm stressing!

Re: wooden high chairs at restaurants
Both my girls used them at 5 months old (they were sitting great by then). We never used a cover.

We put DD in them at 5 months and pretty much have always used a cover because she puts her mouth on EVERYTHING

I have something similar, but I,m not sure if I can pack it in my suitcase. We're flying. I'll have to check it out tomorrow.

We have this and it worked very well and was small when deflated.
I also used the wooden seat with a cover, but at that age, I had to stuff a blanket around him to hold him up.

I have the seat you attach to the table & the seat cover thing. TBH just bring the stroller and sit next to him. I usually liked to go around bottle time so I could recline dd and give her a bottle. She was quite foe 15 min so I could eat.

Re: wooden high chairs at restaurants
Honestly, I have taken my DS to restaurants a lot and up until he was 10.5 months I just brought the stroller with us into the restaurant. Many times he would eat and fall asleep. I did not try out those wooden high chairs until this summer when we went to Maine and he was 10.5 months. Now I want to get one of that pp mentioned or maybe a highchair cover.

Re: wooden high chairs at restaurants
I've been sitting Rylan in the highchair for the past 2 or 3 weeks. We have a cover because I don't want him to put his mouth on it at all. I have to stuff something behind him though...if I don't he has to lean really far back to lean against the back of the chair.

Re: wooden high chairs at restaurants
We've used the wooden high chairs since she was about 5 1/2 months old...but she was already sitting up on her own by then. We have a cover but I have yet to use it. I would either bring your stroller or pack a few receiving blankets so you can put them next to him in the high chair to prop him up.
