Wooden train sets
Which wooden train set do you have? Would you recommend it?

I don't know how good they are, but I just saw a bunch on Ikea the other day. I know my mom got Luca a train table for his bday, and if it doesn't come with much then I will probably get the Ikea ones. Way cheaper then the Thomas ones.

In fairness, I'm sure the Thomas ones are much better quality then the Ikea ones- I was just trying to be cheap.

Re: Wooden train sets
I was looking at the BRIO ones. Steven doesn't have an interest in Thomas and I dont' want to start that if I don't have to . I think the Thomas ones are made by BRIO.
I am thinking of getting him a basic set for his 2nd birthday ( ) then if he is really interested, I'll expend the collection

Josh is a Thomas addict!
I see them every now and again on craigslist, so I am waiting on that.

Re: Wooden train sets
My sister just got Charlie a Thomas set and Charlie LOVES it! It's the first thing he looks for in the morning. At her house he plays with her sons old set and it looks like brand new even though he's 20 now.

Re: Wooden train sets
We have an imaginarium train table and Thomas trains. They both work together. The Thomas train table was too much $$$ for us!

Re: Wooden train sets
Toys R Us has an Imaginarium set that includes the table and trains and it's less than $200. We got one last year for $99 around xmas time. It's compatible with Thomas and Brio also.

Re: Wooden train sets
DS is a Thomas and train in general addict. He has the plastic tracks and I have been wanting to get him the wood ones, but they seem so expensive so I was in Walgreens the other day and saw a set of wooden tracks w/4 trains and little animals and trees and stuff so I bought it, its really cute and seems pretty durable. Of course, all the thomas trains fit it too.
Oh yeah, it was $10!!!!!!

Re: Wooden train sets
I just bought the Thomas water tower figure out for DS' b-day.
He loves it, and can put it together all by himself!
