Working at Northwell
Hi, I worked in healthcare part time for several years after having children and recently took a full time position in commercial insurance. However, I am not enjoying it and would rather return to healthcare in either a part time or full time capacity. I see a ton of postings for Northwell but from what I heard it’s very hard to get in there. I was wondering if anyone had any tips, or info. I am curious what the pay is, vacation time, etc. for administrative positions. Also, if anyone works there I would be happy to show you my resume for a possible referral. I am an administrative professional who worked in financial services for C- level executives prior to having children. Thanks for any information you may have!

Working at Northwell
I don’t work for Northwell but I work with them frequently. They appear to treat their employees well- pay and benefits are competitive. They are constantly expanding which is why you see so many postings. Like any large healthcare system, the day to day really depends on who you work for and what you do.
I don’t think it’s any harder to get hired there than it is any other hospital. If anything, I would think it’s easier than the big names in the city who get candidates from all over the tri state area.
