Working moms of 2 or more who kept DC1 home during leave...
That was a mouthful
If you pulled your DC1 out of daycare when you were on maternity leave for your second child, how did he or she adjust to going back?
Ryan has always been attached to me but since I've been on leave - he's my shadow. I'm a little worry about how he'll adjust to going back to daycare in April.

i was home for 5 months with DD. i was home solidly for 2 months without her in daycare and then since i knew she would have a hard time going back f/t i put her in 2 days a week. but i don't think it mattered-she adjusted to going back every day pretty well since she had been there before. she gave me a little bit of a hard time at drop off the first 2 days or so, but then got back into the routine just fine. you might find he gives you a hard time just in the very beginning.

I wanted to do that - start him back PT, but my daycare doesn't have that option.

I found it best to keep him on schedule & make things as normal as possible. He wasn't even 2 yet so I don't think he considered I was going back home to stay with the baby. I think he thought I was still going to work.

Too late for that, he's already been home with me since October

DS#1 was home with me and it was very hard for him to go back. Sort of like starting all over again. It took a good 2 weeks to get back into the swing of things

I am not working now...but when I was, I had dd go two days just to keep her routine a little and b/c she loved seeing all her teachers and friends, we didn't want her to think her sister was "costing" her all of it!
