working moms that wish they could stay home
please help me I go back to work next week...this has been such a horrible week just thinking that I only have a few days left to be here with my baby before going back to work full time. We are very fortunate that we have family to watch him, but it breaks my heart to think that I wont be here during the day to be with him. I've been home for 12 weeks and have enjoyed every second with him I have been an emotional wreck all week. My job isn't being flexible about my hours either, and I dont think it would be wise to look for a new job right now. For those that have been through this, how did you handle it, and does it get easier?

It is very diifficult...i think of DS all day. I was home for 6 months with him!! But, I make the most of the time I see him now--in the mornings, nights and weekends

I'm sorry you are going through this. I wish there was some way they could work with you. Feel better and I'm sure it will get easier with time.

Re: working moms that wish they could stay home
I went back to work when Noah was a year old, already a toddler...
When toddlerhood started...well, it wasn't that difficult to leave him at daycare, he loved it and he much preferred playing with other kids than being at home with me. And toddlerhood, well, its difficult at best with my son!

Re: working moms that wish they could stay home
It's so hard, especially those 1st couple weeks. On the way home DH and I were so excited to go pick her up and see her smiling at us, it was like christmas day as a kid going to see what santa left us. I took a million pictures to work with me, had her on my desktop background. Daycare wore her out but we ate up every minute of it at home during the week and on the weekends. My daycare doesn't tell you about milestones at all, so that made it easier. I also called them twice a day to make sure she was okay and well mostly for me.
It got easier for me and she started to really love her teachers.

Re: working moms that wish they could stay home
I just went back last week and it was horrible at first! I was more anxious that my mom was going to be able to handle both babies but it is going okay!
I book it out of work each day and that doesn't make my boss real happy but I have to get home! It does get easier and I really enjoy being back at work and really enjoy the time with the twins!
