It's time to re-instate the GTGs!!!!
Gregory needs to catchup to Lucas in the friends department so I think a GTG is in order...plus I want to meet some mommies!

So....

If I were to plan something in September or November (or MAYBE both)...how old will most of the new babies be? Gregory will be 6 months in September and 8 months in November.

What age group do you think we could go up to? Would 1.5 years old be too far out?

If I do November it will be Once Upon A Treetop...if I do September I don't mind planning for Suffolk but I need suggestions for the little ones.

Maybe if I can decide on a place (with help from everyone for Suffolk) it would be easier to see the age group that would be accomodated.

Next I'm working on one for Lucas' age group and hopefully now that he's a little older that will span out more to include more kids.

Alexandra will be 5 months in September and 7 months in November (duh! Chat Icon )

Depending on how far up you go with the age group, OUATP may not be worth it for the little ones bc the infant area is so small. Gymboree may be better for the little ones. Just a thought.

I have only been to Krazy Kids in Suffolk, but again not great for the little ones - better for 1.5 and up, IMO.

Thanks Christine...see this is why I ask because I have no idea! Gymboree was good for Lucas at that age...maybe I go that route then.

FYI - there is a new Gymboree in Plainview that recently opened up that may be closer for any Suffolk ladies that may want to come.

Let me know if you need any help with anything.

Charlie will be 3 mos in Sept and 5 mos in November but we'll come anyway even if she cant do much Chat Icon

I think Gymboree sounds like a good idea. I had Nate in a class there at 6 mos and he loved it. Let me know if I can help. I'm home through September so I'm happy to do some of the legwork!

Re: Working on a Newborn/Infant GTG and need some suggestions

Thanks everyone! Great suggestions and love to see all the interest.

I think I am going to aim for November on this one..most of the kiddies will be sitting up and mobile enough to enjoy it a little more. I am going to check out the new Gymboree in Plainview. I will definitely do it on a Saturday and maybe we can have everyone bring a food item...maybe even do a gift exchange.

Can you tell I am in planning mode? Chat Icon

I am going to make some calls, plan it out and then drag in the volunteers...btw thanks so much for all the offers to help out. I want to make this HUGE so we can get lots of mommies and babies together to hangout!

Sounds good! I like the gift exchange idea. It'll be a cute kick off to the holiday season.
