I will go back to work full-time starting July 1st, and I have been a SAHM with DS for 2.5 years.

DS has been having sooooo many tantrums the last couple weeks. I have to say, our routine was really out of whack too with interviews, daycare searches, etc. Some days there wasn't time for him to nap, we didn't do our usual things in the morning, etc. So I think both things are contributing to the tantrums. He's also changing developmentally I feel--I'm seeing a lot more imaginative play from him in the last week or so too.

My questions are these--iany suggestions for reassuring him about my going back to work? We have orientation at his daycare next week, and I'm hoping a couple visits will make him feel better about the situation. Or maybe they won't--who knows!

Or did you find that once the new routine was established your child calmed down? I'm hoping this may be the case too, he may have fears about what is coming next, but he will feel better when he is experiencing it.

He's actually pretty good with other caregivers, and he loved a daycare we used while on vacation a few months ago. Only 4 days, but each day he couldn't wait to go. So I'm hoping this goes smoothly.

Thanks!
