They said this morning that its still too early to tell - if the weather stays warmer it may just be a wintery mix, but if it gets colder then it would be snow
its supposed to be tues - thurs
but its still way too early to worry about it!

They wont be able to start really making more accurate projections until tomorrow, and as we have seen, up until the day of things could change....
What was it, Dec they said 2-4, then it was 6-12, then suddenly 18-24? within hours?

As I said earlier this week, it is too early. I wouldn't expect to hear anything til Sunday morning from me. Too many variables: Where is it going to hit exactly? Will it be all snow? Will it have ice and crap? Too many things can change. Keep informed and really start to listen on Sunday to all the blah blah blah.

I think it is wayyyy to early to say anything like this!
the storm, like mosts, can take different tracks and I believe that with this storm temps are going to be a huge factor. warmer temps more rain, colder temps more snow. either way I believe we will be getting some sort of precip
I don't think we should be to worried about it this far in advance

I actually do remember winters like this growing up  I remember one year of HS we had major blizzards and the school was closed.

Me, too! I remember sooo many winter storms like these. I remember snow being piled up over my friend's father's head and getting to stay over her house because school was closed the next day.
And it was never such a big fuss when we were kids. Then again, we didn't really care about how people's commutes were when we were kids.

I remember differently, in the 70s and 80s I remember more snow than we've had in recent years. I thought we DON'T get as much as we used to 20-30 yrs ago (aside from this year and last maybe)? 
Same here....the ice storm that knocked out power for a week!
I think it was just more fun when we were kids so we didnt notice how many we got. Now that we're the ones dragging our butts to work, we notice it more.

Here are my thoughts, if anyone cares
1. Poor Kelly. I feel for you, I really do. Heaven forbid you do not get on here. All hell will break loose.
2. I think the higher powers are trying to x-nay my plans of going into NYC to see my doctors because every time I try, there is a snowstorm. I am very glad I did not make the appointment again. I would only cancel anyway!
3. It is winter. This is not the Florida Keys. It will snow. It happens. And then it will be summer. And the people in the Florida Keys will suffer in the fiery inferno that is Florida summer (I lived through 2), NY will have a beautiful summer. It is just the way of the world. And trust me, and every other person in Florida in July-it sucks too.
Okay, glad I got that off my chest.
