worst valentine's day ever... sad
Valentine's day will never ever be the same again. I was just about the wash the dishes and start cooking when DH called me. His sister and brother live upstate with their families. Well his brother was driving home yesterday from work, stopped to get wood to warm up his 2 little girls and wife, and lost use of his breaks on the way down a huge hill. He lost control of his car and went over an embankment where his car split in half and he was cut out of his car. He was breathing but unconcious, within 20 minutes on the way to the hospital he was gone leaving behind a 5 year old daughter, a 9 year old daughter and 29 year old wife .. plus a sister, brother, brother in law, sister in law and parents who are besides themselves...
On top of all this im due in less then 3 weeks, could go any day now, they are burying him upstate and i'm not allowed to go - doctors orders - DH is a wreck and i'm trying to keep myself calm because I almost delivered DD on our kitchen floor last night I was so hysterical. I don't even know what to do. DH is taking a bus upstate sometime in the next few days for the funeral, we still have soooo much to do for the baby which is being put completly on the back burner now and I'm besides myself.
Please just send us prayers and thoughts ... I don't even know what to do at this point.

How awful. Prayers for you and your family. Please do your best to stay calm for the sake of your baby. Is there anyone that can stay with you while your DH goes upstate?

Oh my gosh.........I don't even know what to say. I am so, so very sorry your loss. What happened is awful and my heart breaks for you and your family. I am just so sorry.

I am so sorry  Don't worry about all you still need to do for the baby. There are tons of stories on this very board of people who delivered earlier than expected and weren't ready. You will manage. Just try to keep your stress level down as much as possible and hang in there.
