Would 7 year old still be interested in a chuckee cheese party?

So many places I'm interested in monster mini golf, whaling museum are so pricey without food! So I'm leaning towards chuckee again...do you think 7 year olds would still have fun there?

DS is going to be 6 this year and we actually decided that we are going to do away with the parties at the places, and let him invite a few close friends to a movie and pizza or similar.

His birthday is right after Christmas and I've spent an insane fortune at these places.

Last year it was almost a grand with all the extras plus tips and I don't think there were more than 10 kids there plus their family.

My son will be 6 in December and likes Chuck E. Cheese. I can't imagine him outgrowing it in a year. A lot of the arcade games there are geared for slightly older kids anyway, imo, more than preschoolers.

Not sure how the pricing is, but Laser Bounce in Levittown is popular in our area. And you could do a laser tag game and then the arcade game component (like at Chuck E. Cheese) if you think the games at Chuck E. Cheese alone won't hold their attention as much or you want to try something new.

ETA - I've heard bowling parties are relatively inexpensive, and my son always has fun at them. We just went to one the other week, and the food was set up like a buffet, so the kids could keep bowling the whole time and just eat when they wanted (versus having the hour of "play" and half hour of eating that most party places have).

Also, if your child is into movies, a lot of parents in my area (Bellmore) do movie parties, which are supposedly really affordable. The theater in Bellmore Village is a popular venue for elementary school kids' parties, as is the one in Merrick. My DS hasn't gone to one yet because he is in K and I think it's a more popular choice with slightly older kids versus the preschool/K aged crowd.

My DS got invited to a 7th Bday party there next week. ;) I also usually have house parties. The only party I had at a place was for his 2nd bday!

Do you have a boy or a girl? For boys I think it's fine but I know my daughter and her friends would have no interest in a party there. Movie and bowling parties are relatively inexpensive and liked by all. DD's birthday is in 3 weeks and we are doing a spa party, but it is definitely costly.
